Domain Name Registration
If you already have a domain registered, please provide the account login and password so your designer may configure your site. If you do not have a domain name, please list any names desired. Remember that many domain names are already registered and are no longer available (example- www.roofrepair.com)
Hints for selecting the best domain name:
• Keep it short, it's hard for your customers to remember "www.dallasroofingrepaircompanyinc.com". Instead, use something like "www.dallasroofrepair.com"• Be careful with your use of dashes and underscores. While they may help a user visualize your domain name, it can also be hard to pronounce verbally or spell over the phone. Many web users forget and leave out dashes and underscores which in some cases could lead them to an entirely different website.www.hereisanexampleofthis.com

• Whois.net is a great resource for determining domain name availability. Remember! your desired domain name may also be available under a different prefix such as '.net', but most web users are accustomed to typing '.com' and may end up somewhere else besides your site.© 2009 Northflo Designs, LLC. Keywords
List every word that comes to mind that your customer might type when using a search engine to find your site. Be sure to also include locations of your services, such as what state, counties, areas, and cities you service, and where you are based. Below is an example for a roofing company:
roof, repair, water, leak, hail, storm, damage, work, resurface, shingles, tiles, insurance, texas, north, central, dallas, etc...Anyone that were to search "roof leak repair north texas", would have a pretty good chance of turning up your site.

Including as many of the previous keywords as possible, write a brief description about your services for the home page of your site. Keep it short, around one paragraph. The majority of web surfers tend to glance and click rapidly, only focusing on the pieces that will provide them the fastest and easiest way of getting the 'just' of the information. Being too 'wordy' can scare away your audience. Instead, focus on using lengthier descriptions and information further into your site's pages. A good example is the front page of a newspaper. Only the introduction of each headline story appears, containing the most pertinent facts in the opening paragraphs, then leaving the reader with reference on where to find the remainder of the story. Remember to keep in mind your list of keywords for exposure on all pages of your site that contain textual content.
